I’m very picky with instructors. Having practiced in many places over the years, a new dojo can bring a sense of anxiety. Mark and his staff are very welcoming and helpful. He has a way of pushing you to be better than what you are. Thanks Mark!

Sensei Mark has been instructing my children for almost 2 years. This past Saturday, while watching my son train, I was very happy to see the hours of drills and instruction start to pay off.

I had trained off and on for a few years until I found Sensei Mark. What I learned in just the course of a week was incredible. His attention to detail and ability to teach make him an outstanding instructor. He motivates, corrects, and is able to imbue the entire academy with a strong sense of family and confidence. I cannot recommend him and his academy enough!

There are great teachers, there are ok teachers, and there are not so good teachers. No matter the subject, the student knows the difference. Sensei Mark is an outstanding instructor. He knows this art like the back of his hand and is able to share his knowledge, engage and encourage others to reach their highest potential. One stripe at a time.

Sensei Mark is one of my favorite people. My son was bullied badly and we signed him up for jiu-jitsu with Sensei Mark who gave him some personal, one-on-one instruction as well as a lot of group instruction which helped him with not only the knowledge but the self confidence on how to defend himself if needed. Sensei Mark is a wonderful mentor both in and out of the dojo. He takes his role as teacher very seriously. I cannot say enough positive things about him.

There is no denying Sensei Mark’s devotion to the art of bjj and the Pedro Sauer Association through his passion for technique and the attention to all of the small details that allow correct technique to overcome strength. This focus and his outstanding ability to apply this passion in the form of easily understandable teachings is what, in my humble opinion, truly puts him in elite company.

Truly Learning Gracie jujitsu with sensei Mark at the Integrated Martial Arts Academy has had a great impact in my life. If you think that martial arts is a violent sport you have been misled or instructed by a poor instructor. Sensei Mark truly captures a realistic form of jujitsu that can easily be applied to real life situations. Coming from a background where I have dealt with domestic violence, had left traumatic and emotional scars. Ever since I added Gracie jujitsu in my daily life,I have learned how to be in control of violent situations. I have more confidence, built up self esteem and can now stand up for myself. Sensei Mark created his Academy to be more of a family oriented and character building school. If you really want to instill great values in a person and also practice effective defense this is where you should consider training. In the end this is not a sport, it’s a way of life and it is vital for myself and my child to learn.

Mark Cukro is an incredible BJJ instructor. Fantastic knowledge and energy on the floor. One of the things that makes him a great instructor is that he remains a student and keeps his skill set sharp. Proud to say I train with him.
